“Don’t Bother Me” Cover Just Posted

This was a very difficult cover when it didn’t need to be. I recorded the instruments to this song several months ago, but could not record a vocal part that was passable because it was in an octave I couldn’t find a comfortable place in. I didn’t want to record all of the instruments again, so I just decided to live with the fact that the vocals aren’t very great, but the instrument mix is decent.

I’m recording my own album, so Project Beatlemania is being balanced with that. I’ll try to post covers every now and then.  

“All My Loving” Just Posted

Wow. It’s been a while. So I have removed all mentions of this project only taking a year from the blog, but I intend to keep working on the project when I can. I just finished a very simple ukulele cover of “All My Loving.” These earlier albums may take longer because I don’t know the songs as well. Once we get to the Revolver/Rubber Soul area, I should be able to crank out covers fairly quickly. Summer is here, so I have much more time. I’m also working on recording an album of my own, so I have several projects going on at once.

Just Posted “All I’ve Got To Do” Cover

So after a long period of nothingness, I finally have a new cover up. It is not very good. The tempo jumps around, the singing is bleh, but the harmonies are ok. I really just wanted to get this one over with, because it wasn’t in my range and I wanted to move on because it was putting my already slow progress to a standstill. I should have another cover up tomorrow.

Unintentional Hiatus

Sorry about my absence. I have a new cover as an make-up present.

Also, I’m very seriously considering removing the year-long deadline from this project. I want to do all of the covers, but a year just doesn’t seem possible given how busy I am. We’ll see. New cover today.
